In the gym, the power rack is a very common and useful fitness equipment that works all parts of the body, including the upper body, lower body, core, and back etc.

Using a power rack for squatting provides better safety and stability, and with the addition of weights, it can greatly increase the intensity of the workout.

Here are some common squat rack exercises:

Barbell Squat:

High Bar Squat: The barbell is placed on the upper trapezius, focusing more on the quadriceps.

Low Bar Squat: The barbell is placed in the posterior scapular girdle and focuses more on the glutes and hamstrings.

Safety Squat Bar Squat: A specially designed safety squat bar is used, which places less force on the shoulders and wrists, making it suitable for those with shoulder discomfort or poor flexibility.

Box Squats:

Perform box squats by placing a box or bench in a power rack. This helps the trainee to master the depth of the squat. and to learn to maintain strength at the bottom.

To properly perform the gantry squat, you first need to stand in front of the rack, face one step away from the rack, place your hands flat on the crossbar of the gantry, separate your legs slightly and shoulder-width apart, and then squat backward slowly until your thighs are parallel to the ground, and then get up slowly. This action can not only exercise the buttocks and thigh muscle groups, but also enhance core stability.
